If you are posting in a forum somewhere you can click the Reply button on anyone's post.If you click Reply, you can then click the Quote Post button in the bottom right.
This copies all the post's text you are Replying to into your new post.
This quoted text appears in a dark grey box.
However, you are not restricted to quoting only inside the reply section of a post.
You can use the [quote] function almost anywhere you can put text.

Say you wanted to quote someone in your journal.There is no Quote Post button in your journal, so you need to type in the quote code yourself.

Go into your journal.Type [quote] text you want quoted [/quote]
You window should look like the picture below.

Title the journal.Click Submit.
