You must have an image on your harddrive which you want to post.I will use the My First Avatar image, from a previous tutorial, for example.

Direct your browser to http://imageshack.usThere are other free hosting services out there, but Image Shack is one of the best.

Click the browse button.Locate the file you want to upload.

Double click on the file.The file path will appear in the dialogue box.
Make sure you UnCheck the "Resize Image?"dialogue box.

Click the Host It button.This new screen will appear with the file paths you need to host the image.

Scroll down until you see the box which to the right is labeled: "Direct link to image"Highlight the text and copy it.
You can either right click on the selected text, and select "Copy"
OR you can hit Ctrl + C

Go to your RvB profile.Lets say you are going to post an image in your journal.
Click in the journal body area and Paste the text.
You can either right click, and select "Paste"
OR you can hit Ctrl + V

Make sure you type in [img] before and the [/img] after the text.

Title the journal.Click the submit button.
